On-Site's User Retreat, 2016

Palm Springs, CA

For On-Site's 2016 annual user retreat (recap video), I again had the opportunity to take part as an "entrepreneur" in the Piranha Pool, as I did in 2015. This year, I pitched "iRent," a mobile app aimed at allowing renters to keep track of their apartment hunt, fill out a rental application, and pay their rent. At the time, On-Site did not have a mobile app that fed into its platform. The show was meant to introduce new product ideas to clients, have them give feedback, and vote for their favorite.

The show was meant to introduce new product ideas to clients, have them give feedback, and vote for their favorite.

On-Site's User Retreat, 2014

Scottsdale, AZ

For On-Site's 2014 annual user retreat (recap video), I partnered with Steve Berry, principal at Thought Merchants, to deliver a talk to our clients explaining what user experience is and how we were using it to create better products for leasing agents and renters. Our main takeaway: in order to create an experience that delights and improves the process, the user must be involved in the product design process.
